Nose: Starfruit, marzipan, white grapes, cream, hints of leather. With water, white grapes, green tea, white pepper. 
Mouthfeel: Heavy body, loosens, tingly, astringent. 
Tasting:  Sweet sour. Malted grains, leather, white grapes, green tea, sourdough bread, orange peel. With water, sweeter, allspice, orange peel, cinnamon.  
Finish: Long. Orange peel, green tea, allspice, cream. 

Comments: 

This is teaspooned Kininvie - teaspooned with what, I don’t know, probably Balvenie. It’s quite a Balvenie-like whisky as it happens, lots of orange and fruit. But there’s some white grapes, as well as spicy herbal notes. Very nice indeed. 

Verdict:

I like this a lot.

Nose: Honey, orange peel, stewed apples, vanilla, raisins, hints of allspice. 
Mouthfeel: Medium body, slippery, thickens, slightly oily. 
Tasting:  Sweet. Orange peel, honey, raisins, cinnamon, hints of allspice, hints of dried cranberries. 
Finish: Long. Vanilla, stewed apples, honey, cinnamon. 

Comments: 

Bottled 2015. I was lucky to be able to get hold of this - spirit from the rarest of open distilleries. It's definitely got a fair amount of sherry cask in it, the rich colour tells a story. Plenty of scrumptious fruity notes, with alluring hints of spicy heat mixed in.

Verdict:

I like this a lot.

Nose: Orange peel, orange juice, pears, lemon zest, green tea. 
Mouthfeel: Light body, loose, watery around the edges. 
Tasting:  Sweet sour. Lemon zest, limes, orange juice, green tea, vanilla, sea salt. 
Finish: Short. Green tea, lemon zest, vanilla, sea salt. 

Comments: 

My first Kininvie! I've been waiting for this one for a long time, ever since I first tasted Monkey Shoulder. It doesn't disappoint. Very Balvenie like, but tannic and ever so slightly salty, this whisky is citrusy and fragrant. Delicious stuff.

I like this a lot.
