Nose: White grapes, wet stones, vanilla, greengages, cream, hints of toast.
Mouthfeel: Light body, slippery, loosens, tingly.
Tasting: Sweet sour. White grapes, wet stones, toast, coffee, oats, malted grains.
Finish: Medium. Coffee, lemon zest, fresh baked bread, vanilla, wet stones.
Comments:
I’ve never had a Kingsbarns, so I didn’t have many expectations about this whisky. It’s very decent indeed, lots of green fruit notes, almost waxy. There’s also a flinty, liberally edge than tapers to a bitter finish. Quite promising.
Verdict:
I like this.
