Dram
Nose: Apricot jam, white grapes, greengages, peaches, vanilla, hints of cedar, hints of lilac.
Mouthfeel: Heavy body, thickens, astringent, slightly oily.
Tasting: Sour. Apricot jam, peaches, toasted coconut, pineapples, cinnamon, tangerines, sultanas, hints of white grapes, hints of lilac.
Finish: Short. Vanilla, cedar, peaches, toasted coconut, white grapes.
Comments:
I’ve been after this 30yo bottling for a long time. It met expectations - heavy and floral, fruity, yet tart. There’s a hint of smoke that is subsumed in coconut sweetness. Lots of wood as well. Utterly lovely.
Verdict:
I like this a lot.
