Nose: Toffee, leather, apple juice, celery salt, fresh cut grass, hints of orange peel, hints of candle wax.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, expands, loosens, warms.
Tasting: Bitter sweet. Apple juice, leather, orange peel, starfruit, autumn leaves, white grapes, hints of celery salt, hints of candle wax.
Finish: Long. Apple juice, toffee, starfruit, black pepper, hints of celery salt.
Comments:
Cask 1599. Fruity and waxy, some bitter vegetal notes but they are buried under the esters. It’s not quite what I’m led to believe Glen Garioch tastes like, but is delicious and unusual.
Verdict:
I like this a lot.
