Dram
Nose: Pound cake, marzipan, orange peel, leather, cedar, vanilla, hints of sea salt.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, cool, astringent, tingly.
Tasting: Sweet salty. Leather, vanilla, honey, marzipan, lohan fruit, black tea, smoke, sea salt.
Finish: Medium. Black tea, honey, smoke, orange peel, sea salt, cedar.
Comments:
Lovely Teaninich, fruity with a whisper of peat, and quite a bit of old bottle effect. There’s a spicy, woody note that I recall appears in the best Japanese whiskies. This isn’t Japanese, but it ranks among the best.
Verdict:
I like this a lot.
