Nose: Orange peel, vanilla, nutmeg, white pepper, honey, marmalade. With water, fresh baked bread, marmalade, white pepper.
Mouthfeel: Light body, watery, warm, mouth coating.
Tasting: Sweet sour. Orange peel, green tea, nutmeg, honey, white pepper, rye bread. With water, white pepper, marmalade, green tea, white pepper.
Finish: Medium. Honey, white pepper, marmalade, rye bread.
Comments:
Triple sec and champagne cask matured blend. Lots of malt and rye, but also a lot of citrus. It’s peppery, all right, but also deliciously sweet sour. A very good session dram, despite the strength.
Verdict:
I like this.
