Dram
Nose: Limes, kiwifruit, lemon zest, greengages, white wine, hints of elderflower, hints of sour cream.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, thickens, tingly, hot.
Tasting: Sour. Hoppy beer, kiwifruit, greengages, limes, elderflower, sultanas, hints of honey.
Finish: Long. Hoppy beer, greengages, lemon zest, hints of sour cream.
Comments:
A very interesting dram. Firstly, it’s quite tart, lots of stone fruit, but not the sweet kind. Secondly, it’s very malty, beery, in fact, with a robust flavour profile, like a pale ale. It’s uncompromising and flavourful. Needs a bit of mellowing over time, perhaps.
Verdict:
I like this.
