Nose: Orange peel, lemon zest, marshmallows, marmalade, strawberry jam, hints of hoppy beer.
Mouthfeel: Light body, loosens, expands, tingly.
Tasting: Sweet sour. Sandalwood, marmalade, hoppy beer, orange peel, candied ginger, cinnamon, hints of black tea.
Finish: Long. Marmalade, candied ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, hints of cloves.
Comments:
A perfect blend from Compass Box. Citrusy, spicy and a little bit tannic, very complex whisky. Utterly lovely. It’s mostly Glen Elgin, Speyburn and Teaninich, with a smattering of malt from Linkwood, Ardmore and some pre-blended scotch.
Verdict:
I like this a lot.
