Nose: Pears, watermelons, white grapes, leather, fresh cut grass, white pepper, roast pork, hints of lychees.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, thickens, tingly, slightly astringent.
Tasting: Bitter sour. Pears, white pepper, lemon zest, lemon juice, fresh cut grass, peat, roast pork, leather, hints of lychees.
Finish: Medium. Honey, lychees, white pepper, peat, lemon juice.
Comments:
This Glenlochy is different yet again in character. The charcoal ash smoke manifests slightly differently, more roast meat rather than ashy bitterness. Lots of tropical fruit and pepper spice, with a citrus tang. Quite gentle as Glenlochys go.
Verdict:
I like this.
